The fruit profile here is on the darker spectrum of red fruit, still with bright cherries and strawberries but there is a darker element with damsons and a touch of savoury spice. The palate is more mouth-filling than seen in other wines this vintage, with a real density to the concentration that makes it stand out, and a fresh finish that is hard to resist. The finesse of the tannins is impossible to miss. The 2024 is not a huge wine, but its finesse is evident. Blue/purplish fruit, slate and clean mineral overtones extend the long, sculpted finish.
