I always look forward to tasting this wine that benefits from the expertise of two great winemakers, Olivier Merlin and Dominique Lafon. The mouthfeel is rich with notes of peach, apricot and white flowers. The mid-palette has biscuity, vanilla and sweet spice notes, which makes this wine incredibly moreish. The average age of vines is 75 years old so it’s no surprise how complex and deep this wine is. 2020 is the year for whites and this Pouilly-Fuissé shows why you shouldn’t forget about the Mâconnais. Drink 2023-2032.’’
