From the usual array of different plots, rejoined again this year by La Justice, this covers the full gamut of soil types – gravel, light and heavy clays and sand – with 45- to 85-year-old vines. The house style begins its journey with this wine, initially slightly muted, but unfolding across the palate until, like a rising sun, its energy is first glimpsed, then flashes on the finish.
