Ch. Laroque’s star continues to rise under the guiding hand of winemaker David Suire (who continues to be involved at Ch. Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse and Ch. Larcis Ducasse). This has intense red and black fruit on the nose, and great depth. On the palate, it has lovely rich, fresh fruit. There’s good acidity which cuts through the richness, and melting tannins on the long, fine finish. With fabulous style and weight, this wine offers great value from an estate that is now making delicious, modern wine for drinking relatively early.
