This morning we have the new release, the 2018 vintage of this region defining wine, alongside some rarer maturing magnums and the limited release Te Koko. It’s a wine which has come to define what many consider New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to be all about. The first Sauvignon Blanc in N.Z. may have been planted 10 years previously and much further north, in Auckland in fact, but it is Marlborough which is now considered its spiritual home.
