The Domaine was founded in 1895 and production is now in the hands of Gérard Duplessis, the fifth generation of the family. These days, the Domaine has vines in Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos as well as premiers crus Fourchaume, Vaillons, Montée de Tonnerre and Montmains. All vineyards at this level are on Kimmeridgian limestone soils, known for conveying the wines the classic mineral aspect Chablis is famous for.
